1. What kind of habitat can I expect?
This
part of north central Texas is beautiful rolling planes. The ranch is
mostly large mesquite trees with plenty of underbrush, food plots, fields
and creek bottoms. Abundant rainfall provides water accumulation.

2. And how's the climate?
The
climate is as varied as its habitat. The summers can be hot and winters
are fairly mild. The fall and spring are great with cool nights in mornings
and warm days. Rainfall varies from year to year.

3. What animals are provided?
Tasajillo
bow hunting is well stocked with exotics as well as native animals. We
have a large stock of Axis, Fallows, Blackbucks, Sika and Aoudad sheep.
We have provided trophies size of each variety to provide a memorable
experience. We have stocked large boars for further excitement. In addition
we have Corsicans, Moublans, Barbado sheep, Texas Dall, and Catalina goats.
Predators are available for the bow hunter also. Coyotes, bobcats and
fox are found here. Shoot them if you prefer. There is also turkey.

4. Are tree stands provided?
Yes
and no. We have stands available but if you prefer bring your own stand.
The stands we provide are portable. It is your responsibility to set them
where you want them.

No.

6. Are animals fed by feeders?
We do have some feeders
on the ranch and a feed route is run every day.

7. Are hunts guided?
We say our hunts are
semi-guided. We will direct you to your hunting area and we will be there
to help you if you're having any problems.

8. Do you charge a trophy fee?
No.

9. Do you have poisonous snakes?
Yes, if you prefer,
you can bring leggings.

10. Are compound bows prohibited?
No, only firearms
are prohibited.

11. How do we get from the lodge to the hunting
spot?
You can walk to your
hunting area or provide your own transportation.

12. Do you provide lodging?
Lodging is included
in the price of your hunt. A large comfortable lodge and fireplaces provided.

13. How complete is the kitchen?
The kitchen is fully
equipped with dishes, pots and pans, microwave, range, refrigerator and
also we have outdoor barbecue for cookouts. Bring your own food.

14. What should I bring?
You'll need to bring
your bedroll, personal items and your food.

15. What towns are near?
Abilene is approximately
45 minutes away on the Texas highway 20. There's an Airport there and
you need to make arrangements to rent a car. Sweetwater is 9 miles with
restaurants, groceries and supplies.

16. Can my game be processed?
You can process your
own game. We have a freezer available and there is a walk-in cooler nearby
that can take care of your process needs.

17. Are licenses required?
A hunting license
is required for all hunters, there is a variation of types. Whether you
are residents or nonresident they can be purchased in town or they can
be ordered from Texas Parks and wildlife at 1-(800)-792-1112.
